MORE progress and a puppy! :)

1.  Finish tearing down the wallpaper.  I have slacked on this.  I’ve been tired.
2. Sand the cabinets and woodwork.
3. Paint the entire kitchen which includes the ceiling, walls, cabinets and woodwork.  FUN.  But it will be pretty and fresh when it’s done.
4.  Unpack MANY of the boxes that still have not been unpacked from when [...]

To do before they come:
1.  Finish tearing down the wallpaper.  I have slacked on this.  I’ve been tired.

2. Sand the cabinets and woodwork.
It ended up not being necessary according to the dude at Lowe’s.
3. Paint the entire kitchen which includes the ceiling, walls, cabinets and woodwork.  FUN.  But it will be pretty and fresh [...]

Toothache

A few years ago our third daughter, Arden, fell down on her tooth and bruised it.  It hasn’t really given her any problems since that time.  However, on Saturday it cracked a little and bled.  She really didn’t complain a whole lot about it until last night.
Now her little gums are swollen and she has [...]

Up and Coming Company

In a little over two weeks we’re expecting company to come to our little farm.  Eric’s mom, Brenda is coming the 4th of July week.  Possibly earlier….so maybe I have less than two weeks.  Aaaaargh!  I have so much to do.  My parents are also coming that weekend and possibly Eric’s Great Uncle and Aunt.

Slip N’ Slide

This weekend my kids were playing slip n’ slide.  My 3rd oldest, Arden, is teeny-tiny, but her “little” brother, Liam,  is a tank.  Well, when Arden plays on the slip n’ slide, she skims down it at breakneck speed.  She looks like a little dolphin.  Well, the TANK only walks down it reallllly slow taking up much [...]

Flower Wreaths

I had the kids collect a bunch of flowers and pretty much weeds from our property.  With the flowers I made them each a wreath.
Arden didn’t want to hold still….or smile so it seems.

Aggie hammed it up.   This is one of MANY pictures I have of her.

Lilly was sweet and compliant, as usual.

Liam wanted to [...]

Not Much Going On…

LITERALLY!  I’m pretty frustrated with the fact that I can’t seem to do anything without feeling like I’m going to pass out.  I haven’t actually fainted, which I’m thankful about.  But it is annoying when I see so much that needs to be done around the house and I can’t do anything about it.  I’m [...]

Deer Repellant

Okay, so it’s really animal repellant.    I put some along the borders of my beans and winter squash.  I also put some fake snakes around the plants too.  Unfortunately the only fake snakes that Wal-Mart had were neon stretchy ones.  I’m not sure if they’re that believable, but since they were only 88 [...]

Okay, I’m not exactly the type of person who enjoys decorating my house, so I’ve learned when the desire to re-model hits to DO it.  So I’ve decided that I want my kitchen mostly done before Arden’s birthday party in early July.
List to do:
1.  Tear down the nasty wallpaper.
2.  Sand the cabinets.
3.  Paint the ceiling [...]

Garden Pix

We were finally able to find our charger for our video camera.  Our video camera has a still camera attached, but I haven’t figured out how to make the pictures look very nice.  This is especially true of portraits of people’s faces.   But it does okay for pictures of the garden.
Here is a picture of [...]
